BEC AND BRIDGE RESORT 2017

Designers Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston of Bec and Bridge produced an exotic, balmy resort collection inspired by an Indian summer, Spiced, scintillating fabrics caressed the body with fluidity very much in attendance. The collection destined to be worn by a spirited, feminine and fierce woman.

A heady mix of incense infusions filled the room as chalk artists set the scene with large scale floral designs emblazoned on the runway. It's a spiritual Hindu tradition to ask the blessing of the goddess Lakshmi and a traditional welcome message to guests. 

The collection opened with an elongated, georgette, boxy tuxedo jacket in masculine proportions. Hip grazing, languid, tailored trousers and a diamond, stomach baring halter crop in snow white concluded the fashion forward combo.

A burnt persimmon, dip dye woven lurex mini dress comprised of exposed shoulders, plunging decolletage and billowing sleeves. A matching, shimmering mini featured gathering on an off centre flounce. Bec and Bridge collaborated with Tony Bianco on the vertiginous footwear, a look which resulted in razor sharp stilettos in rustic shades including salted caramel, tan and red brick. Tassels swished freely, wraparound suede ankle ties complete with silver adornment exuded the ultimate 'go to' bohemian sandal.

Juliette Perkins modelled a muted duck egg blue, draped dress which consisted of ruched, asymmetrical, mini hemline, torso cut-outs and under wire breast cups suspended asymmetrically from the left shoulder, bandage style.

A liquid satin, plunging v-neck blouse in the shade of blush featured 3/4 flared sleeves with drawstring ties which cascaded to the floor. The blouse was worn tucked into a lurex, pastel, candy stripe mini skirt in a colour palette made up of ballet pink, metallic lilac and glistening gold.

A luxuriant, rouleau strap, wraparound, v-neck, buttery suede dress encompassed divine seventies style connotations. The thigh high split added a dose of sensuality.

A molten marigold midi dress lit up the catwalk. A strapless neckline flowed seamlessly into a high waisted pencil skirt connected by a knotted tie at the navel. A centre split added freedom of movement to the fluidic number. 

Swimwear offerings included a peach sorbet one piece starring one shoulder, torso cut-out and contrast blanket stitching, fringing plummeting from the side of the shoulder and waist. A halter one piece in terracotta featured deep decolletage, oversized armholes and wraparound waist. Free spirited beach babes reigning supreme.

Ingrid Williams closed the collection in an iridescent, gunmetal, storm cocktail number. A glimmering and undulating overlay added plenty of sparkle to the web like embellishment. A chiffon, decorated, singular flare sleeve, cut out torso, midnight free flowing, thigh grazing skirt screamed effervescent party girl attire.

The Bec and Bridge collection radiates a woman's strength and confidence as she celebrates her natural inner beauty.

MISHA GOLD RESORT 2017

Designer Michelle Aznavorian of Misha Collection delivered a sumptuously good collection steeped in allurement. Boudoir inspired lace ignited the runway with international star Bella Hadid opening the show in a scalloped lace, ebony, sweetheart bodice with panelled transparent lace midi skirt. The body skimming silhouette was teamed to Mode Collective peep toe elasticised booties complete with vertiginous stiletto heel. Flirty whispers of lace continued to star on a bell sleeve off the shoulder knee length dress finalised with a lace hem and a structured bodice for modesty. A black scarf festooned by crystal splices adorned the neck and added radiance to the ensemble. A sensual game of hide and seek was evident on a transparent raven lace trench dress. Dark romance prevailed with ethereal qualities present throughout the lingerie inspired addition. A rouleau strap, crop bustier and corseted lace panel skirt combination brimmed with amplified seductive charm.

A molten metal, shoestring strap, jacquard, deep decolletage, waisted midi dress featured side split and asymmetrical fringed hem adding an exotic element to the open scoop back, sassy number. Model Amanda Ware took to the runway in an enticing pewter, lace jacquard tasseled play suit. Exposed shoulders elongated sleeves with fringing aplenty oozed of bohemian decadence. A body con mini dress, strapless cocktail dress, long sleeve crop and high waisted pencil skirt were all highlighted by the metallic jacquard lace.

Sublime LBDs were updated in a multitude of arabesques including a billowing, 70s inspired off the shoulder dress complete with extended diaphanous sleeves, a sleek strapless dress featuring punctuated diamond accents on the skirt, the coquettish factor reigning supreme, a scintillating sequin embellished form fitting mini dress perfect for after dark antics and a sculptural spliced torso under the knee dress, clean minimalistic lines and precision tailoring dominating the silhouette. Get ready to shimmy in a flapper inspired fringed strapless mini. Tiered layers of silk fringing are sure to dazzle on the dance floor.

The collection closed with a series of garments in a nude colour palette consisting of blush, champagne and muted apricot. Languid palazzo pants were paired to a flesh boned corset with lace up detail. A knee length dress version evoked Jean Paul Gaultier's signature style. A body caressing pencil skirt was married to a nude body stocking leaving very little to the imagination. Hadid made her final catwalk appearance in a strapless, thigh grazing version teamed to a lightweight trench in the shade of spun sugar.Hadid scored a rumoured appearance fee of 400K for two days work modelling for Misha Collection. With a 4.6m social media following and an equally famous sister to boot the Misha brand is sure to resonate with a whole new platform of fans investing in Misha's pitch perfect style, preened for their next selfie.

Design duo Genevieve and Alexandra Smart of Ginger and Smart produced an effervescent collection brimming with practically minded pieces. Charming, sophisticated garments flourished on the runway offering freedom of movement.

Swimwear was introduced to Ginger and Smart's Resort 17 collection, the show opening with a sleek, optic white, semi transparent, undulating one piece. Details included a round neck, keyhole, underwire bust, long sleeves, form fitting panelling and an open back design. Accessories comprised of raffia pool slides, arctic white weekender with rose gold hardware and a minimalistic bum bag worn nonchalantly on the hip. A mesh characterful sunhat featured a gargantuan brim which covered the model's entire face and back falling elegantly under the glutueus maximus, the ultimate in sun protection for an exotic excursion abroad.

A cornflower blue, sheer, off the shoulder kaftan oozed with fluidity. Swimwear was paired underneath consisting of high waisted black bottom, diamond torso cut out, floral, halter neck, crossover bust in delectable watercolour shades of cobalt, lavender, mocha and pearl. Simplistic oyster grey, strappy leather pool slides concluded the breezy number.

Energised cool dominated on a terracotta, off the shoulder one piece with sensual torso cut out. The swimwear acted as a bodice when married to a floral, high waisted, panelled, diaphanous midi skirt in delicate shades of blush, rose, sky, ink and lilac adding tenderness. The wraparound style featured plenty of body baring flesh on a hot summer's day.

A bold cabana stripe, asymmetrical, cropped flounce top starred in a colour palette of electric eggplant, azure, lime splice and vanilla. A matching voluminous mullet skirt was teamed to the crop and exuded good times and balmy nights spent in paradise. The striking shades and silhouette sure to garner plenty of attention.

A royal blue, sheer, lace tunic, offered gossamer airiness. Elongated sleeves worn off the shoulder engulfed fingers. A halterneck, t-bar design was layered to an athletic, cutaway royal blue one piece adding a geometric element to the softened arabesque.

Other key garments included a liquid silk, dusty pink, halterneck, bias cut, midi slip dress modelled by Nicole Pollard. A zig zag, wraparound woven mini skirt was layered to the dress with raffia fringing cascading from the hem. Minimalism versus maximalism came in the form of a snow white, v-neck asymmetrical crop layered to a bulky, raffia infested matador cropped jacket. A spliced torso melded effortlessly into a wraparound raffia mini skirt. Billowing, languid trousers offered an elegant interplay of draping when layered to the textural mini. 

A fashion forward display evoking relaxed Australian prestige.

The countdown to spring is upon us so now is the perfect time to update your wardrobe with admirably wearable pieces from Seed Heritage. Seed offers a sophisticated approach to casual spring / summer freedom.

Contemporary strides with a nod to the seventies, military surplus, utilitarian chic and safari style are just some of the pitch perfect trends on offer this season.

The hero piece of the collection is the Bluebell denim romper $150. This mid wash denim creation imbues insouciance and features cap sleeves, plunging v-neckline with button fastening at the bust. A triangle cut-out on the waist adds a sensual edge to high waisted denim shorts complete with gargantuan pockets. This piece was inspired by Stella McCartney's denim playsuit which retails at $1091. Splurge versus steal...get the look for less, I know which one I'd be purchasing! Offset your denim look with sumptuous fudge coloured accessories. Polished block heel sandals with ankle strap, eyelet belt and a neat boxy satchel were the order of the day.

A crisp white blazer with waist sash and silver ring hardware is a must have and was teamed to relaxed, frayed hem culottes. Diagonal fringing was splashed across the shorts adding earthy undertones to the city slick combination. Tactile suede Jane Gladiator heels $179.95 were influenced by Italian shoe designer Gianvito Rossi's version which retail for $1100.

The Flora Wrap Dress $149.95 starred in viscose and cotton. An indigo floral print adorned the bohemian number which comprised of long sleeves, tie waist and v-neckline, ideal for cool spring nights. Roll sleeves up for a nonchalant daytime approach.

Conjure exotic, safari expeditions in the Collection Tie Suede Dress 4399.95. The boxy sand hued shift is a great neutral wardrobe staple. Details include dipped neckline, gold eyelets, lace up front tie and gargantuan side pockets. If separates are your go-to opt for the Collection Wrap Suede Fringed Skirt $449.95. The luxurious nude skirt features an asymmetric hem falling from the mid thigh to the knee, revealing cascading suede fringing descending to the mid calf. The seventies style decade continues to reign supreme. Team the skirt to a basic, cutaway, funnel neck bodysuit in a form fitting arabesque.

Other key pieces include the apron style,Collection Silk Tie Top $149.95. Dainty rouleau straps, tie waist and waterfall panels cover the torso, power draping at its best. Marry the camisole to slim fitting flares for urban elegance.

Channel Grace Kelly in the Collection One Shoulder Wrap Dress $169.95. This radiant inclusion features a swirling skirt, cummerbund waist sash complete with colossal sized bow and an asymmetric neckline. A refreshing dress steeped with a playful defining quality.

Stay golden in the collection Eyelet Flare Short $129.95. An elasticised waist, front pleats and punctured eyelets light up the flirtatious garment. Twin to the matching Eyelet Crop Top $129.95. The ivory top features scoop neckline and eyelet trimmings, understated charm, splendid for a nautical sojourn. There's something to be said for summertime simplicity.

The new Seed Women's S / S collection will arrive in stores and online from August 2015.

Alice McCall delivered a whimsical Spring 2015 collection replete with flirtatious, free spirited connotations. Playful silhouettes embodying seventies bohemian charm played a starring role throughout the design equilibrium. Model besties Avril Alexander and Kendal Schuler fronted the campaign, posing together in a series of characterful garments brimming with girlish charisma.

Standouts included duck egg blue, midrise corduroy lace up flares which also featured in the shade of ebony. The flares were teamed to a dainty cut-out floral bralet or sleek black for those who prefer a minimalistic approach.

Scalloped embroidery frequented romantic, peasant folklore concoctions alongside cropped, cutaway, halter key hole blouses and high waisted playsuits including the exceptionally exquisite 'Better Be Good To Me' playsuit in the hue of angelic seashell.

Textured, saccharine lavender pink knits appeared on calf length pencil skirt, spliced crop top, three quarter sleeve keyhole body con mini dress and a relaxed shoestring strap sweetheart jumpsuit featuring wide leg arabesque complete with thigh high split.

Delicate floral applique lit up transparent stomach grazing blouses. Oversized sleeves lent fragility and innocence to the equation. A matching trumpet hem midi skirt concluded the modernised twinset. For those wishing to bare their pins team to the sculptural, origami inspired 'Miss You' shorts. 

Graphite and white intarsia knits featured undulating fauna in figure hugging contours, think cut-out bras, pencil skirts, jumpers, rompers and thigh skimming mini dresses.

Seventies playfulness reigned supreme on a striped salt n pepper dress. Fringing descended from under the bust and sleeve. The 'Higher Than The Sun' jumper version was paired to narrow, 7/8 lattice sheer trousers for those wishing to channel a tailored gypsy vibe, with a dose of masculinity thrown into the mix.

Saturated periwinkle blue, dominated a peacock motif, jersey, tie up, bustier playsuit. The striking pattern called for a sojourn to Florence. Languid Palazzo pants and relaxed shirt also featured the bold, crisp pattern.

Laura Ashley inspired paisleys made their way onto poetic bishop sleeve liberty print blouses, maxis and loose fitted shorts in relaxed proportions. Shades of sky, pistachio, blackcurrant and lapis punctuated the delicate pieces.

Linear cut cotton highlighted luscious, voluminous blouses, jumpsuits and cut-out shifts in dainty shades of wisteria and spring green.

Alice McCall debuted her swimwear line this season. Expect to see form fitting one pieces in black and white, seductive scoop backs and stretch lace inserts. For those who wish to opt for a bikini look no further than the 'Out Of Sight' twinset in a athletic design which includes racer front, adjustable straps teamed to stretch side Brazilian bottoms offering medium coverage.

'And She Was There, There She Goes' is an effervescent collection bursting with pulchritude, dropping in stores this August and September.

White Suede S/S 14/15

Designer Jacqui Demkiw of Australian fashion label White Suede produced a sleek, minimalistic collection titled 'Architectural Wanderlust'. Sculptural silhouettes and modern multifaceted, over exposed photography prints starred on an array of garments, creating optical illusions which wouldn't look out of place in a Magic Eye art book.

The collection opened with a shrunken, printed bodice in shades of dark rose, ebony, white and teal. The bodice was paired to a high waisted, body con pencil skirt, with centre split detail. Feminine allure reigned supreme on an effervescent, ivory blouse which featured lace torso panelling and delicate short sleeve detail. A scoop back added sensuality to the mix.

The elixir of youth was prevalent on an ensemble that consisted of waxed, leather flip short in relaxed micro proportions and digi print sculptural bustier. Sporting references crept in on a reptilian snake print neoprene crop top in shades of navy and Aegean blue. The crop was married to a matching high waisted tulip skirt , a bourgeois addition. Vibrant shades of azure were evident on a cut-out shoulder dress which featured spliced torso and decolletage in an electric landscape print complete with jolts of luminous white emblazoned throughout. 

Saccharine bubblegum pink punctuated several garments including a  deep v fold dress, cleverly draped tulip dress with captivating back design and a scuba inspired, racer front scoop neck dress complete with white zipper.

Monochrome arabesques which are a big trend this spring/ summer dominated the collection and starred on garments including a peplum bustier, architectural bodice, curved hem pencil skirt, leather cami and charming lace blazer. 

A muted rose, Aztec inspired print highlighted a thigh grazing mini dress with sheer fabric strips swathing the model's torso. The print was also a hallmark feature on a cropped bustier, tulip skirt, strapless dress and silk tracksuit bottom.

Sumptuous racewear oozed of grandeur. Standouts included a cut-away knee length lace dress with subtle peplum detail and a strapless version that comprised of angular, panelled opaque and lace bodice with asymmetrical lace tail finalised with stark black and white above the knee a-line skirt.

Tailored finesse flourished throughout. Think rigorously, defined silhouettes exuding consummate class.

Australian designer Michelle Cooke, of Billion Dollar Babes produced a jubilant line up for her S/S 14/15 collection. The collection kicked off with BDB's Resortwear line. Think exotic, maxi embroidered kaftans in staple shades of midnight and black, perfect beach to bar ensembles. Bohemian references reign supreme, brimming of energised cool. Gathered peasant blouses teamed with nautical striped bikini bottoms are a chic cover up option. Ideal for a tropical paradise sojourn. A sassy tropicana, halter jumpsuit comprised of gathered neckline, attenuated sash belt and palazzo pants in relaxed proportions. The tropicana print continued to feature on an azure, wraparound, flounce cap sleeve maxi dress complete with thigh high split, adding seductive charm.

Sporting luxe references crept in and were evident on a boxy mesh muscle tank and mesh jogging short. A drop waist, crew neck, short sleeve, flounced hem dress was a sizzling number for the bold. A striking, ombre, shirtmaker maxi dress in delectable shades of duck egg blue and indigo was a standout garment. The diaphanous skirt oozed of class.

Cocktailwear comprised of an asymmetrical, turquoise, graphic print dress with side split detail. A knee grazing, body con version was a sassy annexation. Lace played an integral role in the collection and starred on charming tennis tops, dainty pencil skirts and lace up kaftans in shades of spearmint, black and ivory.

Enticing eveningwear consisted of a bourgeois, v-neck knee length dress with slimline belt creating a defined silhouette throughout the waist. The body skimming godet arabesque was a flattering design and is available in shades of daffodil and staple summer white. For those seeking a floor length gown this style featured in sizzling black. Enchanting lace panels punctuated a floor sweeping evening dress. A scintillating, intricately embellished navy and nude gown is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Clever drapery was prevalent on a boatneck maxi featuring ruched waist and sensuous open back, cowl neck detail. A fine silver chain graced the back, body jewellery at its finest. A lustrous sequin adorned dress complete with ribbon straps and waist bow belt featured in shades of azure, blush and black. Metallic accents flourished on a gold, peak shouldered column dress with circular disc pattern. Sheer sophistication teamed with allure best describes this sultry number. Lackadaisical glamour came in the form of a crisp white shirt worn unbuttoned to the navel and knotted at the waist. Sleeves rolled up nonchalantly. The classic shirt was married to a sequin maxi skirt in ice silver and ebony.
