ATELIER VERSACE COUTURE

Donatella Versace took us on an excursion to the enchanted garden for her Fall 2015 Couture collection.Sylph like, ethereal beauties took to the runway in breathtaking spells of chiffon brimming with grandeur.

Lara Stone opened the collection in a plunging, chiffon, lilac deconstructed evening dress featuring bell sleeves, frayed edges and chainmail trimmings complete with torso cut-out detail. A delicate flower crown adorned her undone tousled tresses. Footwear comprised of patent, platform, lavender Gogo boots.

A pistachio peplum blouse featured dainty floral embroidered panelling. Industrial silver sutures hardened the billowy blouse which was attenuated by a slimline oversized patent belt. Narrow trousers were spliced to reveal window panes of flesh and fauna applique graced the upper thigh.

A pineapple hued, v-neck, embellished chainmail gown starred cascading applique, rouleau straps and a singular sleeve of chiffon finalised with a raw edge. Canary yellow boots added a kitsch element to the impeccably glamorous dress.

Mica Arganaraz modelled a magenta and azure velvet hand painted, floral fil coupe, floor sweeping gown. A draped asymmetrical panel swathed the torso which flowed freely into a mahogany caged corset. A triangle bralet highlighted the right hand side of the garment. An open back added a suggestive element. Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore this sumptuous creation to the recent amfAR event in Paris.

A bold saturated fuchsia chiffon punctuated a deep decolletage evening dress. A chiffon bib cascaded over the bust to reveal crimson floral embellishment and bias cut skirt complete with thigh high split. Black platform patent sandals featured multi strap, silver suture detail. Ostentatious hippie best describes this diaphanous look.

Gossamer lace corsetry defined by velvet amethyst boning graced a body con mini dress. An open floor sweeping maxi skirt gathered around the waist to reveal ornate iridescent blossoms in shades of cotton candy, ice blue, flame, cerise and Persian rose.

Anna Ewers modelled an oyster grey racer front, gauzy, hand beaded asymmetrical micro mini dress. A rouleau strap, chiffon overlay offered freedom of movement, descending flounces oozed with allurement.

Dark gothic glam dominated on an emerald, sugilite and ebony cocktail dress worn by Maartje Verhoef. A crinkled chiffon scarf graced the neck which proceeded to decorate the bust. Floral, ebony and transparent panelling highlighted the suggestive number. Take note, amazonian prowess required. For the ultimate in showgirl appeal don the topaz marabou corset gown. Plumage engulfed the voluminous dress which consisted of chiffon accordion pleat frayed pieces interwoven with heavenly feathers, a frothy delight. Undulating diamantes formed botanical patterns. A titillating thigh split added the Versace va va voom factor. I'm confident Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue will be coveting this number for her upcoming performances.

Donatella Versace's Atelier Couture Collection was a breathtaking display of tantalising grandeur replete with all the hallmark features Versace is famed for. Think exhibitionism, sass and mesmeric garments for the fearless, empowered, woman.

Model of the moment Anna Ewers opened the collection in a sensual, black satin hooded single breasted tux featuring a crystallized hood and lapels. The rear of the jacket was spliced open to reveal shoulder blades, precision tailoring ensued a sleek silhouette when paired to an asymmetrical draped skirt.

An immaculate, snow white, peak shoulder tux complete with dart detail and flat placket hugged every curve of model Sasha Luss's torso. Sequin centre back embellishment is sure to garner plenty of attention. A nude bustier complete with burnished bronzed sequins shimmied with every stride Luss made.

A dark grape, fluid, draped silk jersey glided over Jacquelyn Jablonski's physique, brimming with Greek goddess connotations. The dress came complete with structured shoulder, plunging to the waist, long sleeves and a nude, sequined, embellished body suit reminiscent of ice skating attire which was  affixed to a knee grazing skirt.

A cowl neck, muted lavender, micro mini dress with diaphanous, billowy split sleeves encrusted with Swarovski crystals came complete with nude, undulating mosaic tile detail. This was adjoined to a racy, wrap, mini skirt. 

A deluxe, ostentatious midnight cobalt, oversized fur coat was a plush addition sure to appeal to Russian glamazons. The coat was accessorised with a Georgette hood. Fur also played a starring role on an off the shoulder, belted coat in the pure shade of snow white, drawn together by a gridded boxing belt. An inbuilt crystallized hood and shoulder detail added sheer decadence. Donatella's current campaign star and muse, Lady Gaga requested that she attain this one of a kind, handmade, couture garment to add to her collection. Versace ever so kindly obliged, so don't expect to see this luxury coat gracing the pages of Vogue Paris anytime soon. Fashion heavyweights Emmanuelle Alt and Mario Testino were also present in the front row alongside Gaga.

A cleverly draped, golden chartreuse, turtleneck dress was spliced and slashed to reveal a diamond bralet. The dress gathered at the hip and fell elegantly creating a sleek arabesque.

An attention grabbing shade of molten mandarin, Fanta highlighted a floor sweeping halter dress and was accompanied by a thigh high split and ornate sequin obi waist cincher, adding an iridescent sheen. Centre part, poker straight Donatella inspired locks were twinned to garments.

Anna Selezneva modelled a monochromatic, black and white mink fur stole which was married to a cutaway, transparent, halter jumpsuit, slashed past the navel. Plenty of flesh was on display with a standout low scoop back.

A ruched, fishtail silver evening dress with nude embellished glass beaded inserts featured on decolletage and side torso added high voltage allure with a flirtatious edge. A seductive, pistachio, asymmetrical scarf dress swathed Manon Leloup's body. Intricate sequin darts throughout added plenty of dazzle and scintillation. 

The finale song that pumped throughout the room was 'Born This Way' by Lady Gaga. This was a fitting choice given the close relationship Versace and Gaga currently share.

Donatella Versace's Couture Collection opened with the one and only, original supermodel, Naomi Campbell slivering down the runway with pure prowess in a panelled, patent tuxedo mini dress complete with crystal contouring, slashed to reveal a lace, fetishistic bralet. 

Luxurious lace, La Perla inspired lingerie played a starring role in the collection lending a dark, gothic, glamour aesthetic.

An impeccably, tailored, mahogany, knee length body con, collarless dress was worn deconstructed at the left shoulder with Catwoman references.

A reptilian, oxblood under the knee trench was a bold addition replete of seductive charm. Deep plum sleeves and a defined waist drawn in by an ornate belt with circle centrepiece concluded the look.

A beckoning, stretch pencil skirt in midnight with crocodile and velvet undulating panels was twinned with a cropped, structured jacket and transparent, subtle polka dot, high neck, blouson.

Provocation ruled on a forest green second skin dress featuring centre key hole design on the torso and cross over strap bust detail in skimpy proportions. Oversized fishnet inlays and racer back detail concluded the look.

A scintillating lace bra was married with an open tuxedo jacket embellished crystal sleeve trimmings and low slung hipster flare trousers, a sensuous guilty pleasure exuding exhibitionism. A rhinestone Medusa head chain belt accessorised the trousers adding a flamboyant edge.

A menacing look comprised of a navy, plunge, body encapsulating dress with high neck fishnet insert worn layered with a black, croc, shrunken jacket with peak shoulders.

For the slightly more demure clientele, a fur mink collared neatly tailored jacket featuring rhinestone hook and eye detail and matching ebony pencil skirt was a stylish combination.

A plethora of libidinous garments were on display oozing with sex appeal appearing to be partially ripped off in a moment of heated passion, true Versace style.High octane, captivating energy.

A disparate garment comprised of a cropped cob web knit complete with mink fur strewn throughout, taut torsos a must! This was paired with embellished snake, lace, fishtail maxi replete of luxury.

A succession of gleaming, lavish evening wear rolled out onto the runway. A floor sweeping, cutaway halter, gossamer effect embellished dress in deep teal was an Oscar worthy addition which no doubt involved countless hours of painstaking labour to produce.

Middle Eastern harem inspired creation in metallic navy accents consisted of racer back bustier complete with shoe string straps and matching sheer maxi skirt with fish tail detail shimmering with every stride Mila Krasonoiarova took down the runway.

Lindsey Wixon modelled a seventies, Prince inspired deep plunge catsuit which was an iridescent combination of leather and lace pieced together ever so suggestively. Va va voom!
