VERSACE SPRING 2016

Donatella Versace's uplifting Spring 2016 collection was steeped in combat undertones. Crisp, defined silhouettes brimming of urban jungle warrior radiated on the runway, models ready for battle.

Brazilian catwalk veteran Raquel Zimmermann opened the collection in a khaki, elongated blazer in distinguished lines. The sensual, sophisticated number starred in micro proportions. Oversized pockets featured contrasting olive racing stripes. A three tone onyx, butterscotch and green webbing belt complete with silver Versace centrepiece accentuated the waist. Platform, peep toe, booties were finalised with suede criss-cross detail and gold insignia.

Natasha Poly modelled an admirably wearable, rich camel, military inspired overcoat. Four large pockets punctuated the drawstring coat which grazed the upper thigh. A simplistic shift dress in the shade of seaweed was teamed underneath.

A bold, emerald, camo print highlighted a deep v-neck mini dress, modelled by Victoria's Secret fave, Behati Prinsloo. The form fitting, body con, number featured streamlined darting and flap pockets.Black scalloped pocket lining peeked cheekily below the dress hemline. Anna Ewers modelled an eighties inspired ensemble comprising of a relaxed panelled sweater in shades of sugilite, electric jade and slate. Patterns included zebra, leopard, and solid black. Tailored, camouflage print shorts concluded the punchy number. Ribbed, spinach hued, socks were twinned to strappy, grass green, platforms.

An undulating, Pucci-esque, amethyst, pine and emerald green sleek longline tuxedo jacket was paired to highwaisted, precision cut, micro shorts. A narrow grape bandeau was layered to the jacket. A luxurious camo scarf with gold insignia hardware added finesse to the seventies derived garb.

A textural, round neck, asymmetrical drop waist mini dress starred in lavender suede, turquoise green leather and waxy black exotic leather inserts. Platform leather workman's boots toughened the feminine, flirty arabesque.

A succession of blouson sleeve mini dresses punctuated the runway in a series of different fabrics and finishes; from the casual mans style sky blue pinstripe to the amplified organza ebony or the graphic tangerine, tan, ribena, raven silk satin version all contained the hallmark feature webbing belt. The nipped in waist was very much in attendance.

A languid pantsuit shone in the shade of pecan. The relaxed trousers were generously cut and sat low on the hip. A rigorously cut blazer came complete with fringed trimmings. A tangerine, bandeau crop was body baring. An Italian scarf print graced a silk neck tie.

Amplified Versace buzz dominated on a suggestive, plunging, maxi dress, ideal for a sexy siren. Details included gossamer zebra lace slip layered to an asymmetrical camo print which swathed the torso and cascaded effortlessly to the ground. A provocative leg split concluded the sizzling number. A string of lavish, enlivened cocktail mini dresses closed the collection and beckoned to be worn by the empowered Versace woman. Variants included a mauve, rouleau mesh embellished style and a kale hued barely there, transparent slip dress starring scintillating sequins in surging patterns.

ATELIER VERSACE COUTURE

Donatella Versace took us on an excursion to the enchanted garden for her Fall 2015 Couture collection.Sylph like, ethereal beauties took to the runway in breathtaking spells of chiffon brimming with grandeur.

Lara Stone opened the collection in a plunging, chiffon, lilac deconstructed evening dress featuring bell sleeves, frayed edges and chainmail trimmings complete with torso cut-out detail. A delicate flower crown adorned her undone tousled tresses. Footwear comprised of patent, platform, lavender Gogo boots.

A pistachio peplum blouse featured dainty floral embroidered panelling. Industrial silver sutures hardened the billowy blouse which was attenuated by a slimline oversized patent belt. Narrow trousers were spliced to reveal window panes of flesh and fauna applique graced the upper thigh.

A pineapple hued, v-neck, embellished chainmail gown starred cascading applique, rouleau straps and a singular sleeve of chiffon finalised with a raw edge. Canary yellow boots added a kitsch element to the impeccably glamorous dress.

Mica Arganaraz modelled a magenta and azure velvet hand painted, floral fil coupe, floor sweeping gown. A draped asymmetrical panel swathed the torso which flowed freely into a mahogany caged corset. A triangle bralet highlighted the right hand side of the garment. An open back added a suggestive element. Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore this sumptuous creation to the recent amfAR event in Paris.

A bold saturated fuchsia chiffon punctuated a deep decolletage evening dress. A chiffon bib cascaded over the bust to reveal crimson floral embellishment and bias cut skirt complete with thigh high split. Black platform patent sandals featured multi strap, silver suture detail. Ostentatious hippie best describes this diaphanous look.

Gossamer lace corsetry defined by velvet amethyst boning graced a body con mini dress. An open floor sweeping maxi skirt gathered around the waist to reveal ornate iridescent blossoms in shades of cotton candy, ice blue, flame, cerise and Persian rose.

Anna Ewers modelled an oyster grey racer front, gauzy, hand beaded asymmetrical micro mini dress. A rouleau strap, chiffon overlay offered freedom of movement, descending flounces oozed with allurement.

Dark gothic glam dominated on an emerald, sugilite and ebony cocktail dress worn by Maartje Verhoef. A crinkled chiffon scarf graced the neck which proceeded to decorate the bust. Floral, ebony and transparent panelling highlighted the suggestive number. Take note, amazonian prowess required. For the ultimate in showgirl appeal don the topaz marabou corset gown. Plumage engulfed the voluminous dress which consisted of chiffon accordion pleat frayed pieces interwoven with heavenly feathers, a frothy delight. Undulating diamantes formed botanical patterns. A titillating thigh split added the Versace va va voom factor. I'm confident Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue will be coveting this number for her upcoming performances.

A spectacular couture collection with all the hallmarks Versace is famed for.

Versace Fall 2015

VERSACE FALL 2015

Queen of enticement, Donatella Versace transported models to the seventies and eighties decade for her Fall 2015 collection. Pulsating energy was injected throughout with glamazon powerhouse connotations reminiscent of the original ubermodel era prevalent.

Versace  sweetheart, Natasha Poly took to the runway in a rigorously cut, pinstripe coat dress. A mammoth belt complete with lustrous silver square belt buckle attenuated the waist. A venetian red turtleneck featured a Greek key motif which also accompanied opaque tights and a plush, quilted envelope clutch. Saturated cherry red frequented a sleeveless, funnel neck, jersey mini dress. Details included step flounce hem, crystal embellished belt and peek-a-boo slit positioned high on the neck. Stretch suede thigh high boots were finalised with a Greek character chrome heel and platform sole as worn by catwalk maestro Karlie Kloss.

An oversized canary yellow shag coat was married to a turtleneck blouse which was tucked neatly into high waisted, flat front, tapered trousers  in a streamlined arabesque. The fur coat also starred in a knee grazing version in a brash shade of emerald green modelled by Kaitlin Aas.

A compelling skater girl raven dress was amplified with a libidinous decolletage splice revealing a window of flesh. The fluid skirt featured a titillating thigh split.

A riot of primary colours was evident on a ribbed, cropped, shrunken bomber jacket emblazoned yet again with the Greek Versace key motif. Eye popping royal blue, jade green, aureolin and crimson made for an electrifying combination. A mid thigh length full circle skirt added a flirtatious edge. Logos galore were plastered across garments throughout the collection, think monogram sweaters, leather jackets and hip hugging flares cut short on the ankle.

German model of the moment Anna Ewers modelled a star spangled, crystal encrusted, beaded and sequined strapless mini dress. Hashtags and @ symbols graced the mesmeric, lavish number. The Versace characters adorned chain bracelets adding a kitsch element to the ensemble.

Other covetable garments included an asymmetrical cocktail dress in the mood boosting shade of sunglow yellow, a fire engine red cape coat accessorised with gargantuan sunglasses, turtleneck and patent leather thigh boot which oozed with fetishism. For the enigmatic, the staple ebony trench dress was updated to feature tooled leather Greek key panelling.

A collection replete with rebellion and devil may care attitude. Exemplary for the statuesque beauty with a penchant for all things lavish.

Versus Versace

Legendary designer Donatella Versace teamed up with Anthony Vaccarello for the latest Versace Versus installment. The dynamic duo were a match made in heaven with the winning combination of Vaccarello's intoxicating, unashamedly bold designs twinned to the queen of amplified glam, Donatella Versace.

The collection opened with current fashion fave Anna Ewers modelling a lackadaisical strapless black body con dress teamed to a sleek, subtle peak shoulder overcoat, worn slung over the shoulders, falling mid thigh.Triple gold Medusa head  buttons graced the left lapel. Opaque stocking socks were paired to the classic ankle strap high heeled sandal. Gold accents lent ostentation to the mix.

A succession of black ensembles continued to star on the runway and included an elongated tuxedo jacket oozing of energised cool paired to a gold breastplate, a-line miniskirt, Balmain-esque power shoulder structured blazer dress worn plunging to the navel drawn in with the staple boxing belt. Eighties connotations reigned supreme. Overalls were updated in sensual, suggestive proportions. A sizzling leg baring shirtmaker maxi featured in a billowy fabric which revealed copious amounts of flesh with every stride the model made. A Grecian goddess inspired halter number came complete with plunging neckline, cinched waist and gold button detail. Libidinous thigh high splits were very Vaccarello. Seductive charm is embedded into his design DNA.

The infamous safety pin dress donned by Liz Hurley in 1994 was reconfigured and details included one shoulder, asymmetrical neckline, micro mini proportions and gold rivets held together by elasticised sutures. A liberated silhouette for those who dare to go commando.

A burnished gold leather high waisted miniskirt punctuated a simplistic sheer ruched cami. The iridescent gold leather continued to be a hallmark feature on a masculine, streamlined blazer with double button closure and welt pockets.

A monochromatic scarf print was emblazoned on streamlined, hip hugging trousers, step hem miniskirt, boxy college bomber jackets, cropped midriff baring blouse and a mesmeric wraparound dress. Grecian key motifs flourished on rebellious bandage mini dresses, transparent camis, halter plunge monokini and a textural leather miniskirt.

Aerated leather tanks added sporting luxe to a stretch leather mini whilst the staple denim shirt in charcoal was transmogrified with a punctuated leather bodice. 

Anja Rubik closed the show in an ebony, asymmetrical mini dress, waist attenuated by a waxy leather belt. Perforated leather panelling featured on the right side of the waist and cascaded mid thigh to reveal a fish tail floor grazing panel placing a modernistic edge to the garment.

Donatella Versace's Atelier Couture Collection was a breathtaking display of tantalising grandeur replete with all the hallmark features Versace is famed for. Think exhibitionism, sass and mesmeric garments for the fearless, empowered, woman.

Model of the moment Anna Ewers opened the collection in a sensual, black satin hooded single breasted tux featuring a crystallized hood and lapels. The rear of the jacket was spliced open to reveal shoulder blades, precision tailoring ensued a sleek silhouette when paired to an asymmetrical draped skirt.

An immaculate, snow white, peak shoulder tux complete with dart detail and flat placket hugged every curve of model Sasha Luss's torso. Sequin centre back embellishment is sure to garner plenty of attention. A nude bustier complete with burnished bronzed sequins shimmied with every stride Luss made.

A dark grape, fluid, draped silk jersey glided over Jacquelyn Jablonski's physique, brimming with Greek goddess connotations. The dress came complete with structured shoulder, plunging to the waist, long sleeves and a nude, sequined, embellished body suit reminiscent of ice skating attire which was  affixed to a knee grazing skirt.

A cowl neck, muted lavender, micro mini dress with diaphanous, billowy split sleeves encrusted with Swarovski crystals came complete with nude, undulating mosaic tile detail. This was adjoined to a racy, wrap, mini skirt. 

A deluxe, ostentatious midnight cobalt, oversized fur coat was a plush addition sure to appeal to Russian glamazons. The coat was accessorised with a Georgette hood. Fur also played a starring role on an off the shoulder, belted coat in the pure shade of snow white, drawn together by a gridded boxing belt. An inbuilt crystallized hood and shoulder detail added sheer decadence. Donatella's current campaign star and muse, Lady Gaga requested that she attain this one of a kind, handmade, couture garment to add to her collection. Versace ever so kindly obliged, so don't expect to see this luxury coat gracing the pages of Vogue Paris anytime soon. Fashion heavyweights Emmanuelle Alt and Mario Testino were also present in the front row alongside Gaga.

A cleverly draped, golden chartreuse, turtleneck dress was spliced and slashed to reveal a diamond bralet. The dress gathered at the hip and fell elegantly creating a sleek arabesque.

An attention grabbing shade of molten mandarin, Fanta highlighted a floor sweeping halter dress and was accompanied by a thigh high split and ornate sequin obi waist cincher, adding an iridescent sheen. Centre part, poker straight Donatella inspired locks were twinned to garments.

Anna Selezneva modelled a monochromatic, black and white mink fur stole which was married to a cutaway, transparent, halter jumpsuit, slashed past the navel. Plenty of flesh was on display with a standout low scoop back.

A ruched, fishtail silver evening dress with nude embellished glass beaded inserts featured on decolletage and side torso added high voltage allure with a flirtatious edge. A seductive, pistachio, asymmetrical scarf dress swathed Manon Leloup's body. Intricate sequin darts throughout added plenty of dazzle and scintillation. 

The finale song that pumped throughout the room was 'Born This Way' by Lady Gaga. This was a fitting choice given the close relationship Versace and Gaga currently share.

Queen of glamour Donatella Versace delved deep into new territory this S/S 2014 opening the collection with a series of full round skirts, grazing knee caps. The ingenuity was noted yet the signature Versace woman would be more inclined to yearn for the sleek silhouettes the designer is famed for which progressed as the collection advanced and finally closing with a series of sensual, showstopping eveningwear.

Kailtin Aas opened the show the show in a hip hugging, low slung, knee length full circle skirt. the skirt seemingly appeared to have a lurex finish when in fact comprised of raffia, techy fabric at its best. Chunky, body chains were strewn across the bust and decolletage. A black, flecked, denim, boxy jacket worn spliced at the elbow was complete with suture detail. Strappy, bondage platform sandals lent a vampy feel to the look. 

Denim continued to dominate on an oversized jacket complete with sloping, bouffant sleeves. The jacket was worn fastened from the hemline to the navel to reveal a silk, chiffon, halter bandeau. 

Lindsey Wixon modelled a snug, stretch denim pencil skirt with centre suture detail. A man style, linen shirt worn cuffed oozed of safari connotations.

Undone, rock n roll glamour came in the form of baroque, skinny leg trousers teamed with an indigo, denim shirt worn unbuttoned to reveal fetishistic harness with lion head centre adornment.

Sasha Luss took to the runway in a snow white bandage corset with placket and collar detail. A pearlescent, high sheen, circle skirt swung playfully with every stride Luss made. Polarised chartreuse and bronze, oversized cat eye sunglasses and dove grey strappy sandals were the accessory of choice.

Watercolour ink prints brimming with fluidity came in delectable shades of violet, turquoise, fuchsia, lavender, canary yellow and ebony gracing a series of garments including a cami slip dress, elongated bomber jacket, vest and a relaxed knee length tunic.

Daria Strokus modelled a butter soft, muted lavender, leather, tooled floral blazer worn deconstructed at the base of the lapel. A matching hip encapsulating, libidinous pencil skirt added high voltage sex appeal. The look was finished off with a sheer, halter, bandeau in black.

Newcomer Anna Ewers glided down the runway with innate prowess in a ruched, mauve, body con dress with cross bust drapery. Glistening, capacious chain and suture detail were a juxtaposition of soft versus hard. 

Botanicals flourished on a free flowing languid tunic, ruched sheer pencil skirt, short sleeve blouse, stretch fitted shorts and a racy cut out one piece swimsuit complete with Grecian references.

Rock n roll influences featured heavily on a muscle tank emblazoned with the Versace motif taking a vintage cue from the likes of Aerosmith. Tooled leather shorts in more modest proportions were a sleek and inviting addition. 

Glomesh prevailed on a series of tanks, maxi Goddess dresses and a cowl neck scarf top. Deftly draped, ice blue, disco  glomesh draped a models lithe body in a boatneck, low scoop backless dress with wraparound mini skirt detail.

Stars aplenty will be clamouring to wear a floor length, plunge, v-neck, halter, asymmetrical gown with thigh split in nude and embroided azure, romantic florals devouring the dresses' entirety, finished off with a cross back, halter azure tailored vest.

Donatella Versace's Couture Collection opened with the one and only, original supermodel, Naomi Campbell slivering down the runway with pure prowess in a panelled, patent tuxedo mini dress complete with crystal contouring, slashed to reveal a lace, fetishistic bralet. 

Luxurious lace, La Perla inspired lingerie played a starring role in the collection lending a dark, gothic, glamour aesthetic.

An impeccably, tailored, mahogany, knee length body con, collarless dress was worn deconstructed at the left shoulder with Catwoman references.

A reptilian, oxblood under the knee trench was a bold addition replete of seductive charm. Deep plum sleeves and a defined waist drawn in by an ornate belt with circle centrepiece concluded the look.

A beckoning, stretch pencil skirt in midnight with crocodile and velvet undulating panels was twinned with a cropped, structured jacket and transparent, subtle polka dot, high neck, blouson.

Provocation ruled on a forest green second skin dress featuring centre key hole design on the torso and cross over strap bust detail in skimpy proportions. Oversized fishnet inlays and racer back detail concluded the look.

A scintillating lace bra was married with an open tuxedo jacket embellished crystal sleeve trimmings and low slung hipster flare trousers, a sensuous guilty pleasure exuding exhibitionism. A rhinestone Medusa head chain belt accessorised the trousers adding a flamboyant edge.

A menacing look comprised of a navy, plunge, body encapsulating dress with high neck fishnet insert worn layered with a black, croc, shrunken jacket with peak shoulders.

For the slightly more demure clientele, a fur mink collared neatly tailored jacket featuring rhinestone hook and eye detail and matching ebony pencil skirt was a stylish combination.

A plethora of libidinous garments were on display oozing with sex appeal appearing to be partially ripped off in a moment of heated passion, true Versace style.High octane, captivating energy.

A disparate garment comprised of a cropped cob web knit complete with mink fur strewn throughout, taut torsos a must! This was paired with embellished snake, lace, fishtail maxi replete of luxury.

A succession of gleaming, lavish evening wear rolled out onto the runway. A floor sweeping, cutaway halter, gossamer effect embellished dress in deep teal was an Oscar worthy addition which no doubt involved countless hours of painstaking labour to produce.

Middle Eastern harem inspired creation in metallic navy accents consisted of racer back bustier complete with shoe string straps and matching sheer maxi skirt with fish tail detail shimmering with every stride Mila Krasonoiarova took down the runway.

Lindsey Wixon modelled a seventies, Prince inspired deep plunge catsuit which was an iridescent combination of leather and lace pieced together ever so suggestively. Va va voom!
