Norwegian born designer, Peter Dundas delved deep into psychedelic bohemia for his latest S/S 2017 collection. Exotic, artisanal excursions to the 1970s decade proved popular once again for the retro, gypsy, aficionado. American Indian cultural references were fused to Scandinavian style elements, think Navajo blanket wraps teamed to wooden, soled clogs.

A riot of colour starred on a patchwork, billowing, tiered, floor grazing maxi dress. A scoop neck complete with empire waist featured on the ethereal design. Scintillating gold pailettes ignited the bust area. Patchwork floral combinations were highlighted in a kaleidoscope of colour including glistening gold, cherry, marshmallow, fuchsia, lemongrass, cobalt and magenta. Embellished sequin panelling adding an iridescent sheen. A matching bishop sleeve bolero was twinned to the opulent maxi. A statement, bejewelled, sapphire choker festooned the neck.

Languid, embroidered, burnt mandarin, silk, velvet flares brimmed of energised cool. Intricate handiwork was evident on a silver, floral embellishment which cascaded down the outer thigh. A hip hugging, sterling silver Navajo belt was slung low on the hips. A body baring, deep decolletage, lace up blouse complete with frayed chiffon trimmings was showcased in a  radiant electric blue, floral patchwork. Over extended, flared sleeves screamed of nonchalance. A reptilian, ebony, fringed leather waistcoat was layered to the navel gazing blouse. An ornate tiered choker with matching dream catcher earrings was the bijoux of choice ideal for a well versed globetrotter discovering ethnic finds at worldwide bazaars.

A velvet, cropped, cornflower blue, matador inspired jacket starred peak shoulders and a narrow silhouette. Black, decadent embroidery oozed with enchantment. A vintage, rock tee in the shade of grape was worn tucked into a tiered, patchwork, hippie, column skirt, gossamer airiness fused with flamenco connotations dominating the arabesque. A rock goddess, skinny scarf accented the neck resulting in a hap-hazardous combo for the free spirited, characterful woman. 

A plunging, eveningwear dress featured rouleau straps with cross decolletage detail. Lively, caged panelling in the shade of eggplant caressed model Faretta's curves effortlessly. Delicate craftsmanship imbued a defining quality. Undulating beadwork flourished on sheer panels in a colour palette consisting of peony pink, forest green, lemon curd, eggplant, cobalt and lavender.

Bold cabana stripes frequented the runway and were evident on a sleek, 7/8 side split trousers, lace up peasant blouse, lace up flares, waist coat and form fitting blazers.

A dandified, nomadic display with tenderness very much in attendance. Ostentation and impeccable glamour on the agenda.

Creative Director Peter Dundas, of Roberto Cavalli produced an opulent Resort 17 collection steeped in floral bohemian. A tantalising, heady mix of florals entranced free flowing garments perfect for an ethnic sojourn abroad. The lookbook imagery was shot on location at a picturesque, Milanese palazzo with enchanted gardens offering plenty of mystical elements throughout.

An amethyst, lace up, long sleeve, form fitting maxi starred traditional, embroidered Mexican florals in shades of lavender, sky and raspberry which featured on the bodice and sleeves. A matching, tasselled skinny scarf festooned the neck. A gold trinket bracelet adorned the wrist while a punchy, magenta saddle bag in sumptuous suede concluded the look. Exotic animal prints fused with bold florals highlighted a slim tailored pantsuit of 7/8 length. Fuchsia, teal, sugilite and gold shades were splashed across the free spirited ensemble. Pewter and claret, platform, T-bar sandals oozed of seventies style connotations.

Innocence prevailed on a diaphanous, broderie anglaise, rouleau strap, triangle maxi dress. Embroidered, undulating serpents in the hue of sapphire graced the panels of the tiered, floor sweeping dress. A single strand, gold necklace was punctuated by various charms including a sun. A modern day rock goddess ignited the secluded garden in an embellished, vanilla waistcoat details including colourful embroidery offering artisanal qualities. The staple silk blouse was paired underneath, worn plunging to the navel. A floral, dainty, silk skinny scarf added a poetic edge. Narrow trousers featured floral applique craftsmanship in a kaleidoscope of colour.

A heavenly white, Chantilly lace mini dress exuded sheer femininity. Bouffant sleeves, collarless lace up neckline and flounce hem brimmed with playfulness. A brightly hued, braided waistcoat added a jolt of colour. Terracotta, suede under the knee boots were a boho luxe addition. A mocha, transparent, floral maxi with lace up keyhole silhouette offered the ultimate in festival chic. Chic, breezy and worn with sheer insouciance this summer staple will translate well into the working resort wardrobe.

Cavalli Cat, rockstar glam came in the form of a shrunken, cornflower blue pantsuit. A ruffled placket frequented the blouse adding tenderness to the statement making addition. Release your inner gypsy in a halterneck, lace up, crochet and chiffon maxi dress. Mustard, eggplant, tomato and mauve panels worked harmoniously together in geometric shapes. An elasticised waist flowed seamlessly into a psychedelic, billowy, maxi skirt, the colour palette comprising of chocolate, lavender, turquoise, cobalt, fairy floss and peony pink.

Chiffon from Latin America was emblazoned with embroidered harlequin motifs. Rippling wave like motions were accented in shades of emerald, chocolate, lemon, bubblegum and watermelon. A patchwork, oversized, fur chubby in vivid shades of the rainbow complemented the colourful maxi dress. A mahogany velvet, wide band choker and tasselled gold thread skinny scarf concluded the hippie inspired number, tousled tresses a must have.

A round neck, long sleeve, evening, floor grazing column dress in the shade of ivory featured intricate hand beading including pearl coloured sequins and a striking, plunging centre floral motif in the shade of orchid. For the summer globetrotter, an Ikat, sloping shouldered cocoon coat worn slouched for a relaxed fit. Denim shorts and a violet star spangled shirt brimmed of nonchalance. Under the knee, denim, platform boots were bedecked with flowers aplenty.

Peter Dundas declared "Life is already so difficult. There's no need for fashion to be too difficult as well."

A captivating display for the luxurious, beatnik, flower child.

Creative Director, Peter Dundas of Roberto Cavalli presented a bohemian, Marrakech inspired collection reminiscent of Dutch style icon and actress, Talitha Getty. Exotic sojourns abroad called for embellished maxis, rock star shrunken suiting and sumptuous furs worn with a devil may care attitude.

Emma Harris opened the show in a free spirited, midi length, intarsia, patchwork fur coat in shades of butterscotch, ebony, dove grey and teal. A scintillating sequin scarf in the shade of emerald fell nonchalantly to the mid thigh. A deep decolletage, amethyst and gold maxi dress concluded the seventies derived ensemble.

Paula Galecka took to the runway in boysenberry, velvet flares. A grape, collarless, hand beaded blouse was worn plunging to the navel and layered to an opulent, ocelot fur coat brimming with grandeur. A multi print, elongated scarf comprised of various scarf prints in a colour palette consisting of lavender, lemon and midnight.

For the bold- an olive, gossamer lace, maxi slip dress offered plenty of allure. The floor grazing, transparent number featured scalloped, plunging neckline, ruffled chest and a drop waist. Lingerie as outerwear continued to dominate runways throughout. A lustrous, leopard sequin scarf and full length reptilian and aubergine fur coat were teamed to the barely there slip for modesty.

An off the shoulder, silk chartreuse evening dress was a captivating addition. Delicate pleating featured on flounce tiered, bust sleeves and skirting. A peek-a-boo key hole added a provocative edge to the billowy number. An embellished, tasselled scarf adorned the neck.

A pewter, textural silk, shrunken bolero featured structured shoulders and scintillating monkey motifs. A mid-wash chambray shirt was paired underneath. Highwaisted, subtle, skinny flare trousers matched the bolero and oozed of rock n roll status. A sugilite velvet scarf added a jolt of jewel tone colour.

Dark bohemian glam reigned supreme on an ebony and leopard intarsia, panelled fur coat. A fishtail, lace maxi dress was coupled to the decadent coat and starred gold and mint foil, coruscating under the runway lights.

A metallic bronze, poetic, diaphanous dress was the only mini hemline to frequent the collection. Puffed, flared sleeves, scalloped lace hem and gold pailettes kindled the star spangled garment. Under the knee, platform snakeskin boots in forest green were the footwear of choice.

The collection closed with a sheer, ice silver, sequin, column dress with fishtail hem, leaving very little to the imagination. Caviar beading enveloped curves and evoked old Hollywood glam. Russian supermodel Natasha Poly recently donned this particular runway number to the Oscars. Starlets will be clamouring to get their hands on this covetable collection.

Creative Director, Peter Dundas worked his magic yet again on a standout, Baroque inspired collection bursting with pulsating energy. The collection derived from the seventies and was aptly photographed in the opulent Palazzo Clerici in Milan.

Dutch model Romy Schonberger portrayed a deluxe hippie in a boxy, black, velvet blazer which was ignited with fire engine red blooms, leopard print and undulating patterns. The elongated blazer was paired to a floor sweeping, drop waist, tiered maxi dress. Stars, flora and fauna oozed with decadence while lace panels added sensuality. 

A teal, electric cobalt and turmeric fur chubby was a lavish addition. A velvet, patchwork maxi skirt accompanied the jacket and starred in shades of chocolate, sapphire, cherry and oyster grey.

An alabaster, Mongolian fur coat fell to the knee, details included, tan braided leather cuffs and toggle. A turquoise kaftan and pant set was married to the bourgeois, bohemian number, finalised with black aviators and leopard sneakers complete with white, leather, toe cap.

Glam rock mindset was prevalent on a star spangled, black and gold, v-neck kaftan with scarf tie. A floral scarf was layered to the neckline adding combinations of clashing prints. Signature leopard punctuated a narrow tuxedo pantsuit. A poetic, lustrous, pleated blouse was worn underneath, ideal for the enigmatic rebel.

Animal motifs continued to dominate throughout and featured on a silk, skinny, scarf. The scarf was paired to a scoop neck, embellished evening gown. Intricate craftsmanship played a pivotal role , with dark romance reigning supreme.

Bleached, high waisted denim displayed a flare leg arabesque with silver, sequin stars emblazoned near ankles and the hip area. An aquamarine, metallic, leather belt drew in the waist. A sharp shouldered, velvet blazer in raven exploded with beaded fireworks, a bronze lame, high neck, ruffled blouse brimmed of nonchalance.

A lavish, statement making, ebony poncho was a dramatic addition. The fur collar and fringing offered gypset qualities. A grommet trimmed, tiered maxi skirt concluded the look.

The collection closed with a liquid, scintillating, ice silver, sequin evening dress. The boat neckline was highlighted by ornate, swirling, fauna beadwork. The body skimming silhouette was striking, destined for the social circuit soiree.

An enlivened collection from Mr Dundas brimming with vivacity and allure.

For Creative Director Peter Dundas' first official collection at the helm of Roberto Cavalli, Dundas delved deep into the eighties decade with a jubilant display replete with liberated, sizzling garments with the hallmark features Cavalli is famed for. While other designers showcased 90s dominated looks Dundas opened the multi faceted collection with an array of sweet sorbet hued garments including an apricot, oversized full length, canvas trench which was paired to a ballet pink, cropped, leather shell and highwaisted utilitarian khaki shorts complete with asymmetrical zips and perforated black leather waist cincher. Terracotta suede boots cut low on the ankle featured tie suede detail. A single gold diamond shape earring was finalised with gold thread grazing the collarbone of model Greta Varlese. 

Maartje Verhoef took to the runway in a boxy, powder puff blue muted tee worn tucked into an ebony, a-line, leather mini. A floor sweeping frilled train was layered to the skirt which was a flamboyant inclusion.

An electric scarlet and burnt orange bomber jacket starred in a monochromatic floral and fauna print. The bold addition was paired to a fairy floss, strapless, ruched, tiered mini dress with diaphanous train. Saccharine lavender booties completed the look. A striking lustrous citrine version was married to a bronze, tapestry, tuxedo jacket steeped in Italian decadence emblazoned with lion motifs throughout. 

A showstopping colossal sized bow highlighted an alabaster, one shouldered, silk crop top. Eighties powerhouse connotations reigned supreme. Highwaisted, 7/8, denim jeans were embellished with fine beaded thread fringing, sequins and undulating lace inserts. A python shootie featured an almond toe, double buckle closure and wooden heel.

Russian model Kate Grigorieva modelled a zebra amethyst and black cropped tuxedo jacket adorned with scintillating black beading. A peach body con mini dress was teamed underneath. Cavalli's exotic jungle love affair was still very much in attendance.

A turtleneck, ruched, bandage dress in micro proportions was a textural delight. Zebra, ocelot, snake and nude strips encased Angel Rutledge's torso. A jumbo sized leather bow adorned the right shoulder and fell to the hip. Beaded strips resembling chains added plenty of the bling factor.

A floaty Grecian style mini dress in a watercolour of iced mauve and wild mulberry featured exposed shoulder with ruffled sleeve, asymmetric frill, grommet tiered billowy mini skirt attenuated by a black slimline velvet belt; a fragility with wasp like attitude prevailed.

A ruched lace, strapless bodice was accentuated with a romantic ruffled trimming which graced the decolletage and outer sleeves. The lace up front detail oozed with seductive charm. Blood red slimline waxy leather trousers came complete with wraparound waist with double gold ring detail. A fashion savvy design for the ever confident Cavalli woman.

Catwalk newcomer Romy Schonberger closed the collection in a  pink lemonade, lace up, statement making mini dress. Panelled ruching enveloped the tender, fanciful number. A large ruffle adorned the neckline and sleeves; a contemporary eye catching design bound to get you noticed.

Roberto Cavalli's Resort 2016 collection embodied retro , rock n roll poise. Newly appointed Creative Director, Peter Dundas served up a design acumen untrammelled by convention. Artisanal sass dominated throughout as Dundas worked his masterful way onto signature Cavalli garments splashed with urban jungle prints hallmark to the houses' DNA.

New-Jersey born model, Jamie Bochert starred in the resort range and opened the collection in a silk, poetic blouse festooned with bird life and fauna. Details included deep keyhole, gathered neckline, drop shoulder and bishop sleeve. The blouse was teamed to futurist, hip hugging, lace up, lasered gold leather trousers complete with gold fringing on the outer leg seam. The matching shrunken leather jacket was married to striped cigarette trousers and a statement making chrome, white and obsidian belt with circular discs adding a flamboyant edge.The bird life / fauna print continued to flourish on a silk twill narrow tuxedo suit, perfect for the modern day rock siren. The suit was paired to a lace up, semi sheer pencil pleat blouse adorned with gold leaf ties adding ostentation to the characterful number.

Red carpet alert! The transparent ebony embellished floor sweeping gown was a piquant addition. Lavish, hand beaded paillette applique encompassed the dress and swathed Bochert's torso ever so elegantly.

Bohemian vibes reigned supreme on a peony pink ruffled shirt complete with free spirited bell sleeves. The shirt was worn unbuttoned, plunging to the navel and tucked into mid wash denim flares of 7/8 length. The jeans were emblazoned with oversized bird-of-paradise motifs in shades of turquoise, tangerine, lemon and teal.

A diaphanous, psychedelic maxi starred in hues of coral, jade, rose, azure and cobalt. The abstract scarf print offered generous draping with billowy sleeves, v-neck and attenuated waist concluding the silhouette.

An enlivened metallic rose gold bomber jacket featured gold snakeskin trimmings including an oversized collar. A heavenly neo romantic, white, ruffle blouse was married to a candy apple red, a-line, suede mini skirt. Python panelling and silver circular discs punctuated the skirt which brimmed of sixties mod squad undertones.

A muted salmon and ebony fauna romper appeared in micro proportions. A boxing belt toughened the dainty garment. A cropped matador inspired jacket accompanied the playsuit. White lace up boots resembling ice skates were the footwear of choice.

An ethereal emerald green and royal blue ignited a whimsical petticoat dress. Fauna applique panelling made an appearance throughout the torso and on the high-low hem of the dress.A delicate addition for the deluxe jet setter.

A halter neck, flamingo pink, floor grazing gown was highlighted by black undulating fauna on the chest. A narrow lace insert plunged from the neckline to the drop waist. A tiered peplum fell romantically on the hip surging through to reveal a voluminous skirt.

Monochromatic notes were evident on a peak shoulder, crepe, tuxedo jacket complete with graphic print. A basic deep cut cami was coupled to highwaisted, thigh skimming culottes, a sleek addition. A black panther dangled from a gold ringed choker necklace adding the exotic edge that is embedded into Cavalli heritage.

Fashion extraordinaire, Peter Dundas of Emilio Pucci produced a breathtaking collection, bursting with pulchritude and rich in bohemian luxe. Dundas channelled the seventies with ostentatious displays teamed to peasant folklore.

Natasha Poly opened the collection in a plunge, floral embroidered mini dress with white scalloped lace framing a bare decolletage, wrists and thighs. The blossoms featured intricate beadwork . Terracotta fudge suede under the knee boots were adorned with ankle eyelet detail. The embroidered embellishment continued to frequent the runway and also starred on a macrame, racer front cutaway column maxi. A bandeau was worn underneath and revealed a toned side torso. A striking macrame poncho with excessive suede fringing was the ultimate beach cover-up for the luxury loving globetrotter.

Saccharine shades featured on a delicate, rouleau strap chemise  twinned to matching narrow flared trousers. A scarf choker in sumptuous shades of mandarin, mustard, peony pink, azure and lavender was the perfect accompaniment. 

A triangle cut out feminine maxi complete with beaded spaghetti straps and bust detail was suspended by silver, circular disc detail. Diaphanous silk fabric in Pucci's signature archival print came complete in muted shades of sherbet, mustard, magenta and ice blue. 

Punchy mandarin, forest green and white graced a cropped kaftan with bell sleeve detail. The boxy blouse lent a lackadaisical approach to the ensemble which was married to hip hugging embroidered shorts with tassel adornment. Toffee, cut out gladiator heels added polished panache. Seventies jumpsuits were updated and were highlighted in elongated, sleek proportions. Think narrow flares with pocket flaps acting as a subtle peplum creating shape throughout the silhouette. A dungaree dress in the bold shade of turquoise lit up the runway.

A riot of colour was starred on an electric tomato, burnt paprika and amethyst billowy high-low hem dress. Details included bejewelled bib necklace and baby doll arabesque. Sheer decadence and impeccable glamour accented the ensemble. 

The collection closed with a succession of generously cut maxi dresses in a kaleidoscope of colour. Tie-dye fabrics rich in liquidity garnered plenty of attention in voluminous proportions championing luxe bohemian goddesses.
